Are there any really credible decent sites out there to learn how to begin playing an electric guitar. My first lesson’s not until next week and i want to have a base knowledge. I already play the flute and piano so i have a basic knowledge of music theory in general.

Wait for your lessons. The first thing your teacher should impress upon you is the importance of proper hand and finger positioning–that’s something you cannot expect to learn on your own. You don’t want to go in with bad habits that the teacher will need to correct–let him/her guide you to doing it the right way the first time.

I am a beginner and am looking for free websites that offer great lessons, hopefully with some videos as well. Also are there any websites that offer guitar notes for current songs? Country? Specifically "Center of my World" by Chris Young? Thanks!

And “Totally Guitars”. Has a nice free section and a subscription area. I was so impressed with the free lessons subscribed to the website.
