A good first song to learn on guitar?
Can anyone recommend any good songs that would suitable for a beginner guitar player to learn?
I’ve been learning guitar for a couple of months now, mainly practising short riffs, but would like to learn a full song.
Any suggestions?? (Maybe something in the blues or rock style).

Well since most didnt list any good songs i will sugest some i have played for about 7 years and the best beginner songs to lear in my opinion are as follows
1.Vultures by the offspring
2.smells like teen sprirt by nivana
3.house of the rising sun
4.every rose has its thorn by poison
5.cats in the craddle chords this is a in between song but it is good by either bon jovi or ugly kid joe are my 2 favorites who did this song. those are just a few to get u started

i think you could start off with leaving on a jetplane.the chords’ quite easy.you could also try the song when you say nothing at all.or try to find a song that has easy chords.hope this could help.good luck! : )

Yes, One note Samba, written by South American bossa nova legend Antonio Carlos Jobim.
The opening lyric, by Vinicious Demoraes, Mr Jobim’s lyricist at that time, goes something like this.
“This is just a little Samba built upon a single note”……

Try “chordie.com” there are 100s if not 1000s of great songs on there all with either chords and lyrics or guitar tab if you prefer. There’s every artist you can think of on there, choose away..

I started out with iron man- black sabath. Its a great way to learn new guitar player cordination with some fast parts but mostly slow and easy. And its can sound good on elec and aucoustic.
